I have a hoist 'permanently' mounted to my unistrut channel using different trolleys. I have this set free-sliding in the channel as well. It allows me to hook up an adhoc load if I need to for some reason that doesn't need the hoist or if the hoist is in use. the tabs are super beefy and easy to hook into. I'm happy to have these in my hoist and strut system and trust they'll last me 'forever' doing whatever I ask of them.~Cheers!

Full disclosure, I received this item as part of Amazon's Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, good or bad. I am making a small gantry in my workshop to get heavy materials from the floor onto my workbench. One of these was perfect with a small, cheap electric hoist hooked to it. For $200 I have a gantry that will handle half a ton. I never plan on putting more than 300 lbs on it, but when I hang on it, it rolls like a champ. These are industrial quality and should last for decades under my use.

As you can see in the pic the body is a full 1/4†thick. The bending strength of 1/4†is at least 50 tons so the weight capacity comes down to the bearings and pins. The pins being about 7/16, depending on steel type, could have a double shear load of around 38,000 pounds. The point is that the advertised rating of 1,800 pounds seems to be far below safe loads and above the safe working load of P1000 Unistrut at 24†spacing at 1,690 pounds.These trolleys, when used within the safe working load of your Unistrut mounting method, will do the job wellThe only issue I have with them is that the bearings are staked in place on the pins and cannot easily be repaired if needed. If a bearing should seize you will need to replace the entire unit.

These things are pretty simple. A 1/4 inch thick plate with 4 608 bearings sandwiched to it. Simplicity is good, and this trolley can easily be rebuilt in the future if the bearings ever need to be replaced. No doubt in my mind that this thing can hold well over its rated weight. The strut is likely to give out before these do.

I used these for a sliding door on ne of our barns. They're well mad and support the door well. They roll easily inside the strut I used.

These are nice little Strut trolleys. They've got a hole and a notch for holding and securing a length of chain. They roll just fine in my strut, and I've got no concerns or comments -- pretty straightforward device that was manufactured well. FYI -- I have no idea what the max weight rating is, but I know I'm nowhere near it. Performance might degrade as the loading decreases. I'm probably maxing out around 60 lbs per trolley moving sheets of steel on and off a plasma table.
