The pipe cleaners were not the cleanest and looked like something that had been sitting in someone's storage/attic for many years with the yellow tape in the corners. I had originally purchased these for a gift, but when I saw the product, I knew I couldn't give it as a gift. Instead I gave it to my children who have used the pipe cleaners for their own projections. The fuzz on the pipe cleaners is a thicker kind of fuzz, not thin, and the metal wire is sturdy giving you the most bendability for all of your crafting needs.

I don't know that I'd call these pipe cleaners particularly thick but they're very soft. The thickness is about standard compared to the ones I've bought at craft or big box stores but they're somewhat softer. They feel a little higher quality, too. My kid goes through these like it's her job and she definitely complains less about getting poked with the metal ends on these than she does on the ones from other brands. Don't get me wrong, you can definitely poke yourself on these but it's not as often or as annoying as others. There's a good variety of colors, too. I'm happy with them and think they're well priced for the amount you receive.

This set of pipe cleaners has a great variety of colors for all of your craftings wants and needs. I've been collecting more craft supplies as I keep volunteering for things at my child's preschool and kindergarten and these come in handy for so much. They're also super easy to cut with a pair of scissors if you don't need them to be quite so long. I've bent these, cut these, glued these and more. This is a great set to have in your crafting box and I'll be replacing these -- but not for a long time. These pack is huge and will last awhile!

Great colors. Good quality, they don't shed like some cheap pipe cleaners do. They are nice and thick.

This pipecleaner set comes with all the colors you need for most pipecleaner projects. We like to make flowers with them, and there is a nice range of colors to use in this set. You really can not beat the price - this is a great value for these pipecleaners. It works well for crafts, and they're great quality. The fuzz doesn't shed excessively and they're bendable. Overall, I'd recommend these, buy them again and give to a friend.

Pipe Cleaners are one of those craft items that was a big deal when I was growing up. We made all sorts of creatures with them, decorated objects made with paper or cardboard and generally just enjoyed the sensory motions of bending & twisting the wire and feeling the soft exteriors. Today, kids don't seem as exposed to pipe cleaners but teachers, especially, recognize their value & use them in elementary school.I have begun collecting a few items to donate to our local elementary school and this pack of 400 (!) pipe cleaners is the first thing in the box. There are 20 different colors enclosed. They seem well-made, fuzzy and flexible. The manufacturer does advise turning down & twisting the ends to prevent the metal from poking or scratching fingers. There are designs to follow to make various objects, eg, fast food hamburgers.I'm positive this set will be snatched by some lucky teacher; her students will benefit.
