I have bought several other kits they always just came with a small piece of vinyl. I was so happy to see how much vinyl is included in this package. I had more then enough to fix my pool. It has continued to hold and has done well. Was easy to patch even under the water. U habe to put glue on it then close it up and then open under water and patch it. U have to be quick or it will dry on u. This kit has been the best value for the money compared to others I have bought.

During a windy storm my neighbors patio umbrella flew up from their deck and rocketed into the side of my above ground pool and impaled it leaving a huge 4†diameter hole in the liner. I really thought I was doomed to having to drain the pool entirely to replace the liner but figured less than a month remains in the season maybe it’s worth trying to save it. I bought this product based on the reviews of everyone else, I applied a repair patch covering the hole then 24 hours later I applied 2 more patches over the 1st patch for good measure seeing I can literally fit my entire arm through the hole, gave it another 24 hours for the sealant to dry up and proceeded to refil the pool… I was nervous not going to lie didn’t think it would work but to my surprise 4 days later the pool level is holding study after repeated use and as an extra precaution I used a dye leak detection kit at the patch location and it proved to be fully sealed.Very very impressive product, I bought a second kit to have on hand for emergencies, hopefully I’ll never need it again but if I do, I know it will work.

I received the Kit on time as with most orders from Amazon. I was surprised at how easy it was to repair my liner. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. I followed the instructions step by step and had my pool repaired in about twenty minutes. I highly recommend and will purchase it again when needed.

Incredibly easy to use. If you cut and pasted in pre-school, you will probably have no trouble with this product. There is quite a bit of patch material and more than enough glue to do numerous patches. As with PVC cement, I would put the lid back on with pliers to minimize hardening over time.I patched the liner in an in-ground pool. It would have been trickier in the deep end, probably would need something weighted to hang on to, but the shallow end was easy. The patch stopped the leak from my pool and wallet immediately. I will check it again in the spring and amend this review as necessary. Now about that warning.I cut the over-sized patch and slathered on lots of cement. Being a wood-worker, I wanted to make sure the joint wasn't glue-starved.I folded it over as per directions and easily put it in place, pushing the air and excess glue out of the sides. In place and all good, less than 15 minutes from opening the package to finish. Then I noticed a few quarter-sized blobs of glue floating on the surface. I knew they'd end up in the filter, skimmer, or stuck to the liner. I was already turning blue as it was windy and chilly so I didn't worry about it and climbed out of the pool.I then realized that the excess glue on my hands was drying. It was kind of fun, like when you put glue on your hands in kindergarten. Oh, don't act like you never did it.A few minutes later I felt an odd tugging on my chest. Yep, one of those floating bits of glue had lovingly wrapped itself around some chest hair.I went to pull it off and HOLY MOTHERLESS SON OF A SEACOOK! I almost fell to my knees. In my hand was a good chunk of chest pelt.Over the course of the next hour the glue dried and I found about 4 places on my legs, 5 on my arm hair and a couple more on my torso. Some of them dried in such a way that they pulled hair out when I moved a certain way.I didn't pull any more off by hand. Over the next three days I used scissors, razors and a beard trimmer and finally had to let a patch on my shin go for about a week until I was able to get it off without skinning myself alive. All I can say is I'm really glad I don't have a hairy back.**UPDATE**It's been a year and the patches are holding fine. They are a lighter color than the liner, possibly they dried less clear or maybe it's the glue.Still quite pleased. Also, all my hair has grown back.

i have an intex above ground pool. i had 21 holes and thought i would give this a shot. Worked great. we used the pool all summer and i didn't notice and lowering of water level or leaks around pool. Here is what i did.-weather was 80's- most holes were small. i had a few ripes about 1 inch long. biggest holes was 1 and1/2 inch by 1/2 inch.-I did both sides of the pool liner.-took me 2 weeks as i only worked on holes which were on a flat surface on my table and i made sure they looked fixed and dry before moving the liner to work on new holes.-glue will seep through the holes so make sure there isn't anything on other side of the liner you don't want it to stick too! i used a glass table. the liner is very bulky and stiff and i was able to position it so that it wasn't lying directly on the table to dry.1) arranged the liner on a flat surface so was smooth as possible. i used my outdoor table which is glass.2) I washed around each hole with dish soap and water.3) i scrubbed lightly at any dirt.4) rinsed the soapy water off with a wet cloth making certain to get all soap and dirt off. dried with a dry towel. i positioned the liner so it would dry underneath as well. liner is very stiff and bulky so was pretty easy.5) i left this to dry until i was certain it was very dry. usually overnight.6) used product per instructions. applying glue and patches6a) positioned liner so not resting on table. to prevent it sticking to work surface. I moved it carefully without disturbing new patches so that it wasn't resting directly on the table. sometimes i had to prop up the liner by sticking something between the liner and the table (away from glued parts)7) i then gooped more sealant around the edges of the patches thickly. checked i hadn't disturbed them when moving liner8) let dry overnight.9) i would check it again. added more sealant thickly around any patches i didn't think looked good10) let dry over night.11) moved the the pool cover so i could work on more holes on flat surface12) repeat 1-11
