This was not an official Makita part but it worked just like it. Haven’t had any problems since installing. I don’t usually buy non-manufacturer parts for tools that get daily use, but this time it worked out well. The original lasted more than 10 years and while I don’t expect this one to I would purchase it again.

I had to install a new motor and pump head. The old compressor pump cut off at 0150 psi, while my new pump head would pump air to a maximum of 135 psi. So, I had to get a new pressure switch that cut off at 130 psi.This pressure switch does precisely that. Installation was easy. I just had to screw the switch onto the tank, connect two wires then turn it on.

This was a replacement for the pressure switch on a Makita MAC5200 air compressor. The switch installation went ok. However, the second time I switched the on/off lever the compressor stopped working. In the picture one can see that the stop for the lever is broken off preventing activation of the switch. I didn't get around to installing the pressure switch during the return period so I can't get a refund. However, I noted on another pressure switch I have that the lever stop is metal, not plastic. I saw a comment from another buyer that had the same problem of the broken stop.

The first order had a damaged piece. We requested a replacement and it was sent right out! Second part worked great.

Ordered an OEM valve from a different supplier and paid almost twice the price of this switch. The OEM switch didn't work and they would not refund my money. This switch appears to be almost identical as far as the quality of the materials and...it works!

During the installation, the relief valve broke. It is made of low-quality cast rather than brass. Lost my money before even finished installing it. This is the wrong design for this part.
