I decided to pick up a batch of these 3Skull reusable rubber balls for my pepper-ball launcher, mainly because the cost of traditional pepper or paintballs has become ridiculous. I wanted something that could handle target practice and training without the constant expense and cleanup. The idea of rubber ammo that can be reused thousands of times and doesn’t need lubrication or special care seemed like a win-win. When I finally got the 250-count bag in my hands, I immediately noticed the consistent size and build quality of these 0.50 caliber balls. They were uniformly round, and their solid rubber construction felt durable. I was hopeful they’d work well for both practice and as a non-lethal home defense option. My primary use was for target practice, but I also liked the idea of having a reusable option for self-defense scenarios. Taking them to the backyard for some target practice, I loaded them into my pepper-ball launcher. They fed well through the magazine, and every shot fired smoothly. The balls hit my cardboard and plywood targets with a solid thud, delivering enough force to make them a legitimate deterrent if needed. The rubber balls did have a bit of friction, which could potentially cause feeding issues in some launchers, but I didn’t experience any jams. The weight and hardness of the balls provided accuracy and impact without the danger of breaking windows or causing too much damage if they ricocheted. That said, I did notice a bit of a learning curve with the rubber texture. They are not as smooth as plastic or aluminum balls, and if your launcher is sensitive to friction, you might run into problems. A quick wipe with a dry cloth before loading seemed to help, and I expect the rubber might wear down and become smoother over time. Still, it’s worth mentioning that these might not be ideal for every launcher type, especially those with tight magazines or lower PSI. Overall, the 3Skull reusable rubber balls offered a practical and affordable solution for my needs. They performed well for training and casual use, and the durability means I won't be shopping for ammo again anytime soon. For anyone looking to cut costs on paintball or pepper-ball training and who wants a reliable, reusable option, these are a solid choice.Bottom line:The 3Skull reusable rubber balls are a cost-effective and durable alternative for pepper-ball launcher training and non-lethal home defense. They offer solid build quality, reliable feeding, and good impact without excessive damage. While they may cause friction issues in some launchers, a quick wipe helps. Ideal for those looking to save on ammo costs and prioritize reusability. Solid 5-star product in my book, highly recommended!Pros:1. Reusable design saves money on ammunition.2. Durable rubber material withstands repeated use.3. Solid impact for training and non-lethal defense.4. Feeds reliably in most pepper-ball launchers.Cons:1. Can cause friction issues and occasional jams.2. Only for training and non-lethal defense scenarios.

These didn't feed as well as I had hoped in my Salt Supply S2 launcher. The magazine can't be removed once inserted because of the extra rubbery friction of these balls. The balls do fire great and really pack a punch. They consistently weigh exactly 3g each.

I’ve been running these .50 cal rubber balls through my hybrid .50 cal pistol, which has a six-shot magazine. My go-to loadout is three of these rubber balls up front, followed by three .50 cal hardballs. Over the course of my career, I’ve often wished I had the ability to defend myself with something less than lethal, and this setup gives me that flexibility. These rubber balls are surprisingly hard and hit with authority. They’re definitely not soft foam or some lightweight training rounds—they have enough density to make an impact. That said, they are lighter than some other .50 cal options I’ve used, and that difference becomes noticeable beyond 30 feet. The trajectory drops a bit at that range, so if you’re expecting pinpoint accuracy at a distance, you’ll need to compensate. At closer ranges, though, they fly straight and hit with enough force to get someone’s attention. One thing I appreciate is their durability. I’ve shot them at various targets, and they bounce off without breaking or deforming. They don’t leave behind debris like frangible rounds, and since they’re reusable, they make a great training option. However, the main challenge is keeping track of them. If you’re shooting outside or in an area where they can ricochet unpredictably, good luck finding every last one. They tend to disappear into the grass, sand, or any cluttered surface, so if you want to recover them all, you might want to shoot in a controlled space or on a hard surface where they’re easier to spot.

These fit in my Byrna HD launcher and fire well. They have more weight behind them than the Byrna kinetic rounds. I can't rally tell much difference in muzzle velocity, but I haven't actually measured it. They are well made and reusable. They can bounce pretty far, though. 5 stars.

Fits my byrna well. Hard rubber balls have a bit of "grip" to them. Will probably be fine the more they get used and the texture wears down. Great price for a huge quantity.

These are less lethal, and still fun to shoot. I've been using them to help teach my sons how to shoot and proper gun safety as well.

These are awesome and can be used during paintball, especially in practicing. I got them to be used with a sling shot and they are also perfect for that. They are great!
