Bought Dec 29. Used 3 times a week. Broke Feb 22. These were used on a 1 inch diameter pipe, and used to keep a bedsheet in place. There was no abuse or excess force used. No unusual conditions like leaving these out in the sun. I wish these lasted longer. These type of clamps break right at the serrated teeth area, which is a place that stress concentrates and forms cracks. Clamps without the jagged teeth last longer, because the edge is straight, with fewer opportunities for cracks to form. The pivoting flat orange tips fall off easily, and they get lost, but this doesn’t bother me. These break too easily only after 2 months of usage. If you’re clamping things less than 1â€, these could last longer, since the clamp undergoes the most stress when fully opened. For example, if you are clamping something 1/2 inch, the clamps won’t undergo that much stress, and it will last much longer. I am using this size because I need to clamp a 1 inch diameter pole. A smaller clamp may slip out, while a larger clamp may not clamp the pole at all (similar to touching the tip of your index finger and thumb, and letting a pen fall through the hole).

Got these to hold our trash can liner to the can. They do a fantastic job at that, though I've taken off the orange jaw pads as those tend to fall off if they're not clamped flat onto a surface. When it's time to take the can out to the curb, we just tie the liner up and leave these clamps on the handle of the bin. I know every district has different size/shapes of refuse bins, but these clamps fit perfectly around the round handles of our Recology bins in SF.They've yet to fall off.The clamp strength is really strong and the plastic material should ensure that it doesn't rust or corrode.

I bought these to hold up my cloth backdrop on a photo backdrop frame. They do fine. I also keep a couple in my toolbox for future clamping needs. I haven't used them in that aspect, but I have no doubt they will work as needed in that capacity as well.My only note is that the jaw pads tend to fall off. I'm not sure if this is because they weren't properly seated at the factory of if they are weak and don't stay connected as easily. Fortunately, they snap right back on and seem to continue working. Not a deal-breaker for me, and a workable issue for a clamp that averages less than $1 each. But worth noting for future purchasers.

Clamps have good tension, the little orange ends keep coming off and the plastic seams to get brittle over time in sunlight one has broken

I simply love clamps. And I love these clamps as well. I have small clamps that I use all over the studio for all kinds of things as an artist. But I needed larger clamps for larger jobs. These are just perfect.Very durable feeling and seem like they will hold up a long time. Well made. The spring jaws are feel strong and wide. The clamps are comfortable in the hand and feel good to work with. Super clamp force - exactly what I need.I give a five star rating for these clamps.

The tips on these continuously popped off and it was not like I had asked anything unreasonable from them. The clamps simply needed to hold a cover on a golf cart to keep the wind from potentially blowing it off. ALL of the tips kept coming off and needed to be snapped back on - only to fall off again. It was a ridiculous cycle. I should have returned them but instead tossed them in the garbage where they belonged. In the end, you get what you pay for and I blame myself for buying cheap quality!

These will do exactly what you want them to do, but because the ends unclip very easily you'll need to be careful. This can cause some issues if you're trying to clip something together and you get the angle wrong or it's too tight and everything comes apart. That said, when they work, they work.

These are made extremely cheap. I bought two packages of 10 and atleast 7 of them broke off where the orange connects to the black part.

They work good, but the little orange things keep falling off.
