I have a Christmas light show and have lots a pixels, and when the weather is bad, some go bad. I used to have to bring out a soldering iron, solder, heatshrink and lighter to make a repair. Now all I do is twist the wires together, slip the sleeve over the connection and heat it up with the lighter. It doesn't take a lot of heat, and it melts the solder making a good connection, and shrinks the tubing over the joint making it weather proof. It's been a game changer for me, I wish I had found it sooner. This size works well for my led bullet pixels, but I also got the assorted sizes for other projects. Good stuff!

I love the concept and a soldered connection is best but, In my opinion the heatshrink jacket is a little to thin. The amount of heat needed for solder it correctly hurts the jacket. I am putting an additional heatshrink over it to be safe.

It would be nice if there was twice the amount of solder in each piece. I used on an underground dog fence (radio) splice, which is solid wire, I know its intended for stranded
