The coated beater that comes with the kitchenaid is garbage. It flaked off and chipped within the first 6 months. This is a game changer. I no longer have to worry about pieces of my beater in my baked goods. I will definitely be purchasing more of these.

Does not last. . The silicone will tear after just a few uses. Would be fantastic if the quality was better.

Fit perfectly, works better than the original one. We bought this because the paint was flaking off the factory piece.

I loved this but the rubber that scrapes the side of the bowl is now peeling off and it's unusable.

My cheap plastic one lasted about 5 years of heavy use so I needed to replace it. The price is reasonable and stainless shaft. It scrapes well but I think better suited for a 5 qt bowl as it tends to fling dough and batters up to the rim of the 6 qt bowl.

This worked very well on my 6 quart Kitchenaid the first three times I used it. But the forth time, the silicone wipers began to crack lengthwise where they meet the stainless body. I’ll try it one more time, but I think it will just tear off. The design of the wipers would have been better if they got thicker as they approached the inside. The way they’re designed, there is a sharp angle and that’s a stress point, and where they’re tearing. It’s very disappointing as when they were new they worked very well. That’s why three stars, or I would have given it one.

I checked to make sure this would work with my mixer. And according the description, it should have. I got it. And put it away because I didn't need it quite yet. But now has come the time where I need it.... ugh.... it doesnt work. It's TWO WHOLE INCHES to short. I have a 5 qt bowl on the kitchen aid lift bowl version.I'm so mad. I usually check things as soon as I receive them, but i was going out of town and came back and forgot about it.Waste of moneyThese things are not cheap. :(
