Hold exactly what they say it does. Each side has a 2slots together for longer items. I just put 2 spools of thread in that slot. Definitely worth the money. I bought 3 for all my thread. Can see thru to see the colors easily. Will keep my thread looking good and is easier to find it then having them all in 1 container. Highly recommend

Can house a good number of thread spools but unless you have squat, small spools, you’ll need to Tetris your other spools the best you can. The average mid size Coat and Clark spool takes up one whole compartment. So one midsize and a small, squat spool work together in one compartment. A midsize spool doesn’t fit well when oriented in a way where the end of the spool meets the lid (standing). The lid gets pushed outwards and putting too many spools this way could break the lid or prevent it from closing. I’m thankful this is transparent and I can see my spool colors quickly and this definitely organized my collection quickly. I like that the spools aren’t rolling around getting thread ends everywhere. I’d recommend buying 2 of these at a time if your spool collection is too much for a shoe box size box.

I use this to separate my polyester and cotton threads. Polyester on one side and cotton on the other. I will be buying another one soon. I love that I can stand this up and see the colors I have and/or need. In my opinion, a definite must for every sewist.

It's good but came cracked on a hinge. The main thing is you have to really make sure it's fully latched with a snap or it could come loose. Ended up with thread everwhere when that happened. The good news is for long thin spools, you can fit up to 3 in a slot and smaller spools can sometimes fit up to 2 while it does still only fit 1 per slot with your classic Coats & Clark brand spools. Additionally, there's a longer slot in the middle on each side for tools and so such. Handy if you don't have a sewing basket.

There is a lot of spool storage space here. I doubled and tripled up on some slots. I should have read some reviews first. It is very important not to force the locks. Open with two hands, fingers under each plastic lock, when opening, with the case lying flat on your lap. I didn’t and one of the two locking tabs on one side broke off the first day of use. It still locks with the one remaining tab, but I will be a LOT more careful when opening it in the future. I like that you can see through it and I placed the spools with the color side facing the opening so it is easy to locate a particular color. I expected to buy another case, but everything I have, except for a couple of spools, fits in the one case.

I am not paid to give a review on this item. I absolutely love these double sided storage boxes so much so I bought seven of them! I needed something to store my embroidery floss bobbins and this box can hold so many of them! The boxes have a closure that prevents it from opening if you drop the case. The fact that it has a handle to carry it around is the best! I highly recommend this product!
