This motor worked perfectly and was a direct fit. fixed the code and the arms started spraying again.I purchased this about 2 years ago when my LG diswasher threw an "nE" code which is a malfuntion in the "vario motor." The first one lasted about 2 years which is great but not acceptable. Turns out there is a small rubber seal for the shaft of this motor that should be replaced when replacing this.If you look at the pictures posted by other users, that rust is basically what happeed to both the first and second one for me. I beleive its a leak due the rubber seal. As many have mentioned, replaced the seal as well. I ordered a backup of this motor and the rubber seal for next time as im sure there will be a next time since I didn't resolve the root issue: the rubber seal.

I was getting an nE error on my lg dishwasher and this was the recommended part to replace, the part appears to be very well made and it fixed my issue. Very easy to replace, just 2 screws and swapped the new motor with the old and the dishwasher is fixed.

Pain to install. Helps to drill hole in plastic to get screw driver access where the white float switch is. The just tape up hole up.

Don't buy it without the rubber seal. It will fail again.

UPDATE: went from 5 star to 1 star. The unit lasted 6 months before burning out and giving me the “nE†error code again. Bought genuine part and replaced it.I was getting an "nE" error code for my LG dishwasher which means that it is a Vario Motor Error. Using Youtube I learned where this motor is and how to replace it, whether it was the vario motor switch or the motor itself, saving me hundreds in having someone come out to diagnose and repair this dishwasher for me. It was relatively simple to do and this unit was a perfect replacement for it. Bing bang boom 30 minutes later and our dishwasher is back to perfect working condition with a little elbow grease and a screwdriver. Wife = impressed = chocolate chip cookies for everyone.

The item worked very well. It was a bit of work to get to it as not all LG dish washers are built the same. My model LG was LDP6797ST. This unit required tilting the washer on its side and removing an access panel. Then I had to remove the pump to access the diverter motor removing the screws with a stubby screw driver. Once the old rusted and corroded unit was remove, you have to make sure you replace the seal (Part number: 3920ED4009B) that the diverter motor goes through. I cannot stress this enough as you will have leaks again as I did when I tried replacing the diverter motor without replacing the seal. (See pictures, bad seal on the right, swollen and deformed) After replacing those two parts and make sure to clean all hoses and plastic ports with alcohol I was leak free after doing all the work. My dish washer is fixed only costing around $40 and a little bit of my time and effort.

Was the part I needed. However, it was not easy to get to to replace.

Find the YouTube video that shows this replacement. Getting to the motor has some tricks, particularly getting the bottom panel loose.
