I own a soul red Mazda CX5 and have used a couple of Soul Red paint repair products. This is by far the best by way of coverage, sustained color match, and application.

I used a small bit to cover some exposed metal when I drilled my trunk for a spoiler. Granted, it was a very small area, but that application matched enough for me. I did eventually cover it, so the consequences were minor if the color was off.If I had to do a larger area or paint chips, I would hope it would be on something like the lower end of a bumper where the shadows and contours can help obscure a chip. Doing touch up on a hood or a prominent area will require a steady hand and a precise application of the paint. This red is a hard one to match, but for my area it was fine.

This comes with a brush end rather than a roller ball style. It is the right color, but it will take a lot of coats to get it smooth, or if you dot it in the hole, it balls up a bit. This isn't for a no show paint repair, more to keep the metal underneath from rusting. It matches the color of my paint well though and it is fairly economical.

This is good touchup paint for Mazda vehicles - the only complaint I have is that the brush/applicator is in the lid (like a mascara brush that sits in the container), and because the paint is liquid I got a lot of waste and drips when applying to a small ding on my car hood. The color matched well - note that the metallic red colors - 41V and 46V - are *real* close, so check the sticker on the inside of the driver's side door frame to make sure you get the right color red. At $20 (at the time of this review) it's only a few bucks more than the touchup pen I bought directly from Mazda, but despite my complaint about the applicator, it allows for touchup on bigger scratches. The paint pen from Mazda has a fine tip and the liquid doesn't flow consistently - having an applicator brush in this bottle lets me control how smoothly the paint is applied. Just be sure to have a small rag on hand to quickly wipe up any excess to prevent clumping of paint around the section being repaired.

I have a Mazda CX-9 and it's this very dark blue pearl color that almost looks black. Nevertheless I got this touch up paint and it is very close to the original color. Of course the color on my car has been darkened by sun exposure but this still is a lot better than the white gashes the previous owner had all over my used CX-9.

This product is fingernail polish in a fancy package. It doesn't spread evenly and is lumpy. Get a paint pen. This is terrible.

It's okay. I found it to be really watery, so kind of hard to use on side paneling. You have to put a tiny bit, let it dry, then come back around several times. I didn't find the color to match too well either - a little more dull and slightly grayer than the original paint color. It definitely covered the bald spots, so it works to that sense. But I wouldn't buy it again
