I needed to bolt a plywood surface onto it's supports. I did not want to use a carriage bolt since I did not want the bump. These work great! Even the flat top of the bolt was more than I wanted, so I used a spade drill bit to cut a circle indentation.

I use these elevator bolts to hang a pull out step on the side of my vintage Winnebago RV. I drilled and filed holes (to accept square portion of bolt shaft) through the bottom of the footwell, and fastened the step assembly with locknuts. Four bolts were plenty strong for the application. Pleased.

Ordered 3 boxes of 4. Boxes arrived unsealed. One box only had 3 bolts. I needed all 12. Reported this to Amazon who promptly sent replacement box. Not sure if this is due to Amazon customer service or this manufacturer, but the problem was promptly resolved.
