My home has always been troubled by traffic noise and noise from neighbors outside, especially at night, which always disturbs my sleep. A few weeks ago, I decided to try installing soundproofing foam panels to see if this can improve the situation. The installation process is very simple, the foam panels are lightweight and can be cut to the right size as needed, which is very convenient. After installing them near the windows and walls in the bedroom, the effect is very obvious. The soundproofing foam panels effectively block out most of the outside noise, especially at night, I will no longer be woken up by the sound of cars outside and the sound of neighbors talking. The quality of sleep has been greatly improved. During the day, I can also focus more on my tasks without being disturbed by the surrounding environment. It's really great!

Cheap egg crate foam, not high density as advertised. They are only 23 inches wide, not 24 inches, and they were 2 different lengths and not evenly cut on either end, so I had to cut them myself a little shorter to square them up.Adhesive stickers stuck to the wall fine but don't stick to the foam for crap. Ended up using double sided carpet tape to put up. In a word, meh.

I rec The instructions provided a 24-hour method of expansion or a rinse and dryer method. I chose the latter.There were plenty of sticky back tape with easy pull tabs to apply to the panels. It was a very satisfying experience putting them up. It added more flair to the walls than I thought.A lot of color and echo reduction for my office / studio

they came very squished out which was actually fun and satisfying to see decompress once you cut off the bag.the amount was definitely what was promised and the batch left to decompress naturally was a better compared to the “recommended†method. may just be an isolated case but that was my experience.Now, as far as the actual sound performance, obviously it will not remove all noise but will definitely make the area much less noisy and surprisingly, better than expected. recording audio is definitely less hissed and easier to spot unwanted noise.The reason I took 2 stars out is because I have used multiple types of adhesives and they are just stubbornly popping off at random. I thought it may be my walls but the adhesive is stuck to the wall but just doesn’t want to stick to the sponges.They seem to be doing a lot better now, compared to when I first install them. other more expensive sponges i bought are properly adhering with the same adhesives so my best guess is it has something to do with the synthetic material used on these.again, they are good enough, but only as long as they remain stuck in place.

Get a better adhesive gorilla double sided tape is what I had to use

A lot of these reviews might scare you off by showing you that the foam panels you buy won't perk up after 24 hours. If they dont,STEAM THEM!I used my conair garment steamer and it worked in seconds to get crisp edges. I would not recommend an iron, sure steam comes out but you risk the hot plate melting your foam and causing a serious mess or injury. With a little patience and steam, these bad boys came out perfectly.

These were easy to install with the included putty, and work great at cutting down on some of the echoes in my room.
