These are stainless steel - a magnet is weakly attracted to them but not as much as if they were steel. There's a bit of a tradeoff - good stainless steel has a hard time being a good drill, so the screws are better off with a stinaless blend that drills well and resists corrosion. These follow good standards.They drill as expected, and the heads hold the phillips bit well enough to perform the drilling and screwing operation. The truss head gives it good coverage so it can hold softer materials without ripping through.Overall a good kit and selection.

I like to keep an inventory of screws on hand for projects and repairs. The one type I didn’t have on hand was self-tapping sheet metal screws. When I found the Hapric Self Tapping Screw Kit, with its assortment of sizes and lengths, it looked like a good deal that would fit my needs.The Hapric kit arrived packed in a protective cardboard box. The kit itself is a reclosable plastic box with dividers for the different sizes. A chart on the inside surface of the lid lists each size and quantity. The 480-piece kit consists of 40 to 50 each of assorted lengths in #8 and #10 truss-head Phillips screws, the kind of screw that has its own washer attached to the head. A double-ended Phillips screwdriver bit was also included.With 410 Stainless Steel being magnetic, these screws stick to the end of a magnetized screwdriver and dropped screws can be retrieved with a magnet. The black galvanizing adds extra protection from rust and corrosion. These screws are self-tapping, so the screw point acts like a drill bit to create a hole of the correct size as you insert the screw. The screw heads perfectly fit a Phillips screwdriver, with no wobble and less chance of cam-out.The Haptic assortment of self-tapping screws is a good addition to my screw inventory

This set is a must-have for any homeowner. The screws look great, and work very well. I used them to secure some flashing to some boards outdoors. Not only did they get through the metal, they held securely as well. No more loose floppy flashing. The included bit is really nice to have too, those only last so long no matter the quality so I appreciate when screw sets include them.Having multiple diameters of screws in addition to the multiple lengths is also quite helpful. The large size of the set means I was able to do my project and still have plenty of screws of the same size leftover.

I picked up this set to have on hand for quick repairs, and it’s been really convenient. The screws feel sturdy and penetrate surfaces easily without needing pre-drilled holes, which has made my work much faster. The box has clear label, though the compartment dividers could be a bit sturdier to prevent screws from mixing. The variety of sizes means I always have the right screw for the task. The included bit is a nice bonus, as it fits perfectly and helps drive the screws in smoothly. Overall, this set is practical and has covered my repair needs.

I have a handyman business and I always keep various fasteners on hand because you never know what you're going to need. This set comes with a good assortment of common lengths of #8 and #10 sheet metal screws.You get about 40 per and it comes in a case that for a change closes and locks nicely. I buy some where once you open them the snap never closes well again, making a mess if it tips.Glad I ordered it. Definitely recommend.Hope that helps.

OH how I love self-tapping screws. I am a DIYer and keep my primary tool bag only filled with the things I would need for any job (no clutter). This box is going in my primary tool bag. These are sturdy screws (I only used two thus far to replace the screws for a curved shower curtain extension rod install). I hate drilling pilot holes, and these screws make jobs go so much faster. This set will be used as the replacement when I am put something up/together. So many sizes are offered that they can support lots of jobs. Nice feature is a drill bit is also provided - if I ran through this set, I would reorder the exact same one. Thank goodness for these!!
