What is it?
Throttle body regulates the proper volume of airflow into the engine which is essential to the mixture of fuel and air in the engine. If you are experiencing engine stalling, failing to start, electronic throttle warning light came on, hesitation or power surging on acceleration on your cars then you may have a problem with your vehicle's throttle body.
The throttle body is mounted on the intake pipe between the air flow meter and the engine, and its function is similar to the throttle of the carburetor. The throttle body is linked with the driver's accelerator pedal to control the opening of the throttle valve to change the area of the intake passage, thereby achieving the purpose of controlling the intake air amount and controlling the operating conditions of the engine. The throttle body is very important for the engine.

How to replace the throttle body?
Remove air cleaner and duct hose with a screwdriver. Disconnect electrical connector on the MAF by pulling out the plug. Disconnect intake air temperature sensor in the air duct.
Disconnect idle air control on the side of the throttle body by pulling the electrical connector. Disconnect the throttle position sensor opposite the throttle cable levers.
Disconnect throttle cables by turning the throttle lever on the throttle body all the way open by hand and removing the now slackened cables from the throttle lever.
Remove bolts running through the throttle body and into the intake manifold. Use ¼-inch drive socket and ratchet, lift the throttle body off the intake manifold. Protect the metal gasket that is in between the throttle body and intake. This gasket must be reused. Install new throttle body in reverse order.
Electrical Throttle Body Installation Notes
After replace throttle body, the idle speed is usually high, unstable or engine fault light on.
This is because car ECU stores the original throttle parameters, and the newly installed throttle body parameters are inconsistent with the original.
Now you need to match throttle to the computer. The matching process actually is to clear the original memory of the ECU, and restart the self-learning.
When there is no matching computer or the computer cannot match, you can use the following manual method to match.
1. Disconnect negative pole of the battery line to eliminate the memory function of the ECU, and install it after 1 minute.
2. Turn off ignition switch, unplug EFI and ETCS fuses in the fuse box in engine compartment, and put it back after 1 minute The above two methods are to eliminate the ECU's memory, if idle speed is still high, ECU can return to normal speed through 1-2 days of self-learning.
Throttle installation notes:
- Whether the gasket needs to be replaced.
- Whether the mounting screws have been tightened.
- Whether there is air leakage in other places.

Worth the money... I waited to post a review...1. Because I wanted to make sure it worked2. I didnt want to install it n give u false info.Sooo... it's been about 2 months now I've had it installed into my dodge journey and it's working fine.. no more issues with hesitation or studdering... worth the money, then to put out the hundreds other companies want.. also easy to install but dont forget to do the foot pedal reboot after its installed u can you tube that to reprogram the vehicleEdit 10/22/23I bought this throttle body in 2019I am now having to replace it only because I had a recall on my catalytic converter.Besides that I most likely would not have had to replace it..For the money I paid 2019 almost 4 years... not bad not bad.. just saying

It fit perfect on my 2014 Dodge Journey. The only thing I would recommend is checking the plug to see if one of the pins aren’t broken. It was a speedy delivery and great for the cost versus the $400 I had to spend on a new one to get my become running asap. If there are any issues the company’s customer service is great within the timeframe they set. Once I informed them of the issue they quickly responded to send me out another one. Unfortunately with the time constraints I needed my car back. I will be ordering parts from them in the future when needed.
