This 4k POV camera is very compact and light, so you can take it with you as it will not take up much space. Once you connect it to your computer and network, you will see the status light. Scan your device so it finds the camera and you're ready to go. Make sure you use instructions to set it up for your recording and save the videos.

I was looking for a video camera that was compact and could output live video and that led me here. But this promised so much more than that with the amount of network capabilities that this camera has. Using the camera plugged directly into my PC using a capture device, it's grainy and unstable. Connecting it to my network (using a power cable as well, not the one cable solution that it is supposed to be able to do) I'm able to monitor and change settings using my phone but I absolutely couldn't get it to work on PC, which was what I planned on using. But on my PC I can use an NDI connection that is very low latency, especially with how clean the video is. So while some of the connection types work, the one I wanted did not.On the hardware side everything is made of nice solid feeling metal and all the ports on the back don't feel wobbly or like they're going to get pulled out. The control nub works just fine and the indicator lights on the front are much appreciated. My biggest complaint with the physical item is the included lens is pretty tough to change the focus as it's very tight. Something I really appreciate is the three different quarter-inch mount spots and the auto rotation feature, allowing you to put this camera anywhere and in any way you need. Something that I assumed going in and was true, was the fact that because this has such a small sensor you need a lot of light to get a proper exposure. But once you do, it's crisp and detailed.Overall, there are small details that I like, but when the main function doesn't work it doesn't matter how good the small things are.

I’m not sure what the use case for this camera is. For some reason it runs super hot and is noisy. Other than being really portable, it’s pretty mediocre in terms of performance.

This camera delivers stunning 4K video for our live streams. The dual HDMI and SDI outputs are handy for different setups, and the PoE feature simplifies power management. The initial configuration was a bit technical, but once set up, it performed flawlessly.

The areas where you can screw in a tripod, just breaks off and it stays on the tripod end. Now ive got 2 holes in this camera and i cant use my tripods now. So upset.

These are great IF:- You can use fixed focus and cut between lots of cameras (i.e. not too much variance in subject distances)- Can cope with 170ms LAG on NDI (are maybe mixing in a separate area)- Are bolting it to solid structure or using a heavy tripod.- can provide 200+ Lux to subjects or are shooting in daylight.I Also purchased the C/CS version and 5-50mm F2.8 'High Quality) CS Lens to see how it compares to the 12mm M12 AF lenses.POSITIVES:- Good quality 2160p30 footage for not very much money. Vastly superior to webcams/IP-cams.- Excellent Simple M12 lenses for super cheap all around F2.0 (IR coated needed as there is no mechanical IR filter unlike most cctv cameras)- NDI-HX3 codec running at 125% (70Mbit) HEVC CBR is a perfect match for the budget and punches well above it's weight.- PoE works well (But Gb only, doesn't work on older 10/100 PoE switches).- Price. You can get 3 or 4 of these with a selection of M12 lenses for the price of 1 ptz. or 1/10th of the price of Studio Cams + Lenses- Time/Text/png Overlays are useful, but slow to activate (more than a second). Great for testing, test patterns, but not fast live use.- 1/4" threads are sturdy and fine. No idea what other reviews are talking about- The 2d and 3d noise reduction do pretty well in limited amounts.NEGATIVES:- Small CMOS sensor Noisy under 200 subject lux (+2/+3 gain is okay). Slight fan interference with the CMOS chip.- Jerky Motion/Encoder lag in HEVC High Profile mode (Standard Profile is better) in 4K30 (gives a 1 frame per second motion stutter, evident on BOTH Stream and RAW HDMI output)- Fan screams on old F/W on CS (why they didn't use a slower 40mm fan is a mystery)- No real sealing (Smoke machines, dust, it's going to get internal condensation until warmed up)- No MicroSD/USB backup recording or UVC camera support (USB-C is power only, C/CS on the older firmware picks up as usb UVC but errors)- No dedicated android/ios settings app, it's a slightly clunky web interface only. could easily be consolidated into a single well laid out page.- Web UI video preview is okay, but laggy (also time/text/logo overlays not supported on browser preview)- Sticky/gooey threadlock on M12 lenses, horrible stuff. Makes swapping M12 lense a fiddly, messy chore.- No power off/ Wake on LAN option. you just have to pull the plug on the whole switch to turn them off.- No Zebra/peaking, making focus on anything but a big 4k display impossible.- Supports record to NAS. But it's old SMB 1.0 only (It's a huge security risk and barely supported anymore, why no SMB 2.0 or 3.0)- Unlike DSLR's The Sensor has no IR coating and/or Mechanical IR CUT filter either (as CCTV cameras have). Violet tint on most M12 after-market lenses. It can be balanced out indoors, but gives IR Haze outdoors.- AF is sloooow on the AF-M12 version. It's a servo. like 3-7 seconds of hunting until it gets a fix. Fixed Focus works fine for fairly stationary subjects.- C/CS fan is noisy, AF version on later firmware has fan speed control that works.- 170ms lag on Network/NDI feed makes mixing a live event in the same room a bit of a pain (closed back headphones and just pay attention to OBS)- The 5-50mm Lens was a *tiny* bit sharper than the M12 lenses, but not by much. However darker at F2.8. The subject separation at F2.0 was actually a little better on the M12 lenses.Comments:it's not fair to call them 'negatives' at this price, and most are solvable in one way or another- very tiny/light, too wobbly for handheld. No image stabilisation (OiS). Anything past a 4mm M12 Lens (35mm equiv) needs to be firmly mounted.- anything over 4mm M12 (35mm equiv) will be vibrating all over the place. DO NOT attach to a drum kit, stud wall, tripod on a stage or a dance floor.- Can be solved with a weighty rig or heavy tripod/pedestal on a concrete slab floor.- needs good bright studio lighting to really look the best (200+ lumens). Dingy club/indoor ambient room lighting is not going to cut it.- 3G-SDI limited to 1080p60 maximum. 2160p30 is on NDI and HDMI only.- no iso setting, it's marked as 'gain' only (+1 to +8)The C/CS/M12 mount version came with a C to M12 mount adapter in the box and a 7mm IR back-coated F2.0 Lens. (and a C-CS ring):The AF-M12 version comes with a Wide Angle 4mm IR back-coated F2.0 Lens:Measured Power usage (USB-C Adapter)- 6.8W (7.4 while servo focus)- Standby 4.4W

This looks to do the business - it is metal case, tiny lens and all the outputs you'd want - SDI, HDMI and POE and NDI. I managed to get test pictures out of it via NDI to a Zowiebox. The control web interface is poorly designed (as is the same GUI for the Zowiebox decoder/encoder). They provide a mount plate for a shoe mount system but no corresponding mounting shoe. But on the second time I mounted the camera using the bottom ¼" mount I found the thread had stripped on the internal bush of the mounting socket. Clearly the thin metal case is insufficient in which to manufacture a mount. It would not re-seat in the hole in the metal casing so there is no way to mount the camera. I returned the camera unused.Update: I bought 2 more Zowiecams and one more of these had the same ¼" thread mount just fell out when being tightened. Very poor design.
