This is good stuff!Black anodized, and each piece comes wrapped in a thick film to keep it from getting scratched.It is indeed 1000mm long (on the money) and as you would expect from extruded aluminum, it's dead straight!The included hardware is adequate, but it's not pretty by any means.The corner pieces are cast aluminum, and while they are in fact 45 degrees, they're painted with a thick lumpy coat of paint.I'd almost prefer that they just sent them un-coated so it was easier to clean them up.This is by no means a show stopper as they will perform their intended function, but when I charge a customer big bucks to build them a Machine, or a fixture, I want it to look like I didn't cut any corners. (no pun intended).The first thing My customers do is immediately start getting it dirty, and scratching it up, but I like for them to be the first one to do so.The extrusion itself is definitely worth $10 per stick all day long for a 1000mm piece, so I'm willing to overlook a slight cosmetic blemish on a fastener and call it a solid 5 out of 5 star product!I'm not nit picking, I just thought it was worth mentioning. Just see my pix so you can decide whether that small imperfection in the paint is acceptable to you. If I give it a perfect review, someone will point out the micro-flaw and say that My review is not genuine. If I point it out, someone will say I'm being overly critical.So there! That's My honest opinion. I'm fine with the hardware, you probably will be too, but only you can determine your actual requirements.Overall this is a high quality product, and it's easily cuttable with a regular wood blade on a chop saw, so it makes building custom items a breeze.They call this stuff "The Adult Erector Set". That nickname is spot on! If you can think it up, you can usually make it with this stuff. I love it!

I intend to use these as part of a desktop CNC project I'm doing with a friend. They are just perfect for that.Also if you want to reinforce the frame on your 3D printer (need to cut them at an angle then) and for racks. I saw a very easy to build rack for filaments using these. Good quality aluminum beams and the color is well applied and even. Very pleased.

I'm very happy with this item.I ordered this as part of my upgrade of my k40 CO2 laser and I'm very happy with the quality. All the pieces were machined perfectly and to the exact same length.The finish looks really good on it and it doesn't look cheap at all.Overall I definitely recommend this material for 3D printer or laser engraver projects. All the pieces are high quality and straight.
