Bought these boots to use in parades. I wouldn't consider them protective wear as the boot shape does not contour to the fetlock like a quality boots does. These were fine for what we were needing them for, but are light weight and hard to get in the correct place. The velcro seems to still be holding up after several uses and the color was a perfect match to the discription. Cleaned up easy with a minimal amount of degreaser type dish soap and a light scrub with a medium-soft bristle brush. Over all I would purchase again if needing corresponding leg wear for parades, but would not use as arena protection to prevent ligament/ tendon injury.

They work if your desperate. My horses legs are more valuable than saving a few bucks
