Knee cap area has no padding but overall its holding up!Good value for the combo! For a min I had the knee pads mounted to my vest so when I played airsoft I never got hit in the arm and they worked perfectly

check mounting bolts between shin and knee rides the tend back out. Kinda bulky and hard but better then grinding a knee away

Okay. So FULL DISCLOSURE here. I was mountain biking and hit a rock and crashed, falling on top of a pile of lava rocks in Southern Utah. I fractured my elbow (the orthopedic surgeon calls it an Olecranon fracture.) But because it is on a big bone, with no rotation in it, they just tell you to suck it up and don't bump it. So I suffered through 2 days of bumping it and going into orbit with pain each time, and finally started searching for some kind of protection that would still allow me mobility. And I found these.I love the hinge, giving me free range of motion, and added about an inch thick of padding everywhere EXCEPT the elbow area, leaving that completely free as an air pocket. Then I strapped it on. It was amazing how much relief that gave me, and I could still bend my arm and work and use it as though nothing happened (except no weight bearing lifting--that put too much stress on the fracture). It was a game changer, so WIN WIN. And if I'm not busy doing anything that I would bump it, I can take it off and work free from a splint. But I have noticed that because the straps are only an inch wide, after a while it really cuts into the skin, even an hour or so. I think that these would be fantastic to protect my arms after I'm healed the next time I go mountain biking, but I seriously don't like the straps. So making them even an inch and a half or better yet, two inches wide would be a vast improvement for comfort.Anyway, I also notice that the support it gives alleviates pain that my normal activities create when I'm not wearing it, so I guess those orthopedic surgeons have never fractured their Olecranons before or they'd have done something more them before this. I'm thinking this could be niche market?....

Knee pads fit well. Saved me a couple times. Elbow pads are fine. My kid uses them for knee pads to be like me. Lol.

I hate writing bad reviews but honestly, these are so terrible. I bought these for my husband who just bought a really fast crotch rocket and I wanted to put my mind at ease and give him so protection while he’s riding his bike. I was so anxious for these to come in, only to be soooo disappointed. Let me point out, my husband isn’t a big guy. He’s 5’ 9†and around 175 pounds...all muscle. The elbow pads don’t properly fit his forearms. They’re too small and but not snug. The Velcro is so cheap and flimsy, so even forcing them onto his arms just stretch the velcro and the slide. The knee pads won’t even fit over his calf muscles. These are completely useless.

Bought because it was cheap, but it is poorly constructed.
