I bought these to use for spreading/applying modge podge. I have only used a bristle brush in the past, and was skeptical about a foam brush - but I love it. The coat goes on so smoothly and easily. The only issue I am having so far, which might just be learning curve, is the ease and finesse of using the brush so that I don't accidentally clip the edges of papered areas and then cause them to lift/buckle. I prefer a bristle brush for smaller more detailed areas still, but these foam brushes work well, come in a bunch of sizes, seem like decent quality so far (no shedding), and seems like a good deal to get 4 brushes for $4.50.
