The build quality is great. It is very solid. There are just a few areas where I feel it falls short. I haven't been able to figure out how to use it in the cross position at all. The pads/grips can slide a bit. There's virtually no documentation, with a pamphlet that simply instructs you to search YouTube for workout ideas. From those videos, I can see that many people would prefer slightly different materials such as flexible sticks or a soft feel.

So this is a tough one. Some are probably thinking, "why not just use a broomstick (or other household handle)?" You absolutely could for some things. However, I do think the ability to adjust length and the padding for resting on the back of your neck is worth it. It is also metal, and quite heavy duty. It's not likely to bend, snap, break without some serious effort to do so. I just store it by sliding under my living room couch so it's readily available.One star down just for price. Seems a little high for a pole, though I do see value in THIS pole.
