The wind can get strong here and I noticed the glass tube was moving around. I got another order just for the stainless steel holder, which I placed upside down where the bracket was at 1" on the tube. The tube doesn't move around now and it's easy to see the level looking out the window. While the bracket is stainless, the screws aren't so if you're in a salty environment, you might want to get different screws.

I mounted it next to my existing gauge. This one reads WAY high. I compared them to each other and weather underground for 2 months. This one is useless. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$$$. It is nice looking which is why I purchased it. Mount it in your living room and it will work just fine!
