These do cut decently quick but not very cleanly and they throw much larger pieces of metal out than your normal cutoff wheels. I was surprised at how much more it hurts without with short gloves on and had to switch to full length welding gloves to use these without getting little red burns all over my forearms. The best part is really that you can grind with them some too so if I'm switching back and forth a lot I'll use them but if I'll be focusing on grinding or cutting, I'll use the standard abrasive type wheel.

I ordered these discs for my husband, because he is constantly breaking his other ones, going through them way too fast. So when I saw these, claiming to be indestructible, I had to grab them. I told my husband about them before they arrived, and he quite literally, laughed at me. He said there are no such thing as indestructible discs. So, I said we will see when they get here. I have to say, despite his skepticism, he was pretty excited for them to get here.As soon as they arrived, that evening, he went outside and began doing his "thing". After a couple hours, he came back in, and said "well, I still don't think they are indestructible, but they are pretty darn strong, I'll give you that". Lol, SO, the translation here is that yes, these discs are incredible, and their claims are, for the most part, true. If you are someone that works with them a lot, and put them through extremely long and rough jobs, then sure they will eventually break. Eventually. That is saying something. If you are someone that uses them for a hobby, or light work, then there is a good chance that you won't need to replace one for a very very long time, maybe not at all. However, like my husband also said, the more you use them, the more dull and worn they get, whether they break or not. So, in conclusion, these are indestructible discs. It is important to add though, while they may not break, and need to be replaced for that reason... They will need to be replaced due to wear and tear. That is the explanation as to why this product comes as more than ONE disc lol. If they never needed to be replaced, then you would only need one disc, right? This does not mean you will never need to change your disc! Still, a solid and impressive product!

I think these are a good alternative to the abrasive fiberglass cutting wheels. Being made from metal, they're not going to shatter like those can, though thankfully, I've never had it happen to me. So for marble, granite and ceramic, these are good. I'm sure they're good for PVC, but I didn't test them on that. But on steel, here's the thing. Diamonds and iron or low carbon steel don't work well together. Intense heat is generated, and this degrades the abrasive and affects the material you're working on. So while you can do it, it's not recommended for longevity of the blade. Don't take my word for it, do a little checking online, it's something I learned myself not too long ago when I was trying to figure out why diamonds don't work well on steel. However, for just about anything else, these are great. Each blade was in its own plastic sleeve and had a bushing in case you needed it. I do like these though.

I hear about and have seen shards of grinder wheels stuck in guys safety goggles so indestructible is important to me. My grinder came with one, it looks just like these. But, since it's indestructible I haven't gotten to these yet, and the first one isn't dull yet. So if they perform like the one on the tool I'm all set for a while with wheels. I've honestly found the battery operated sawzalls to do a faster and safer job in many cases, so I initially used the grinder quite a bit, but lately only for shaping and grinding something off when the sawzall doesn't fit and I'm not worried about the sparks.I have a stack of the carborundum wheels that I may never put on the tool if I have these available.For safety this is the only type I want to use.

I’ve only used this blade on steel sheet metal and light angle iron- indeed it does cut, but I find it more difficult to control than thin cutting blades. Both leave rough edges and require additional work to smooth.The “diamond†abrasive on the blade did not last long during my cutting, but I wouldn’t normally use a diamond blade on steel, more likely to use it on concrete, or ceramic tile. I’m more apt to use specialty blades based on the materials that need to be cut, though an all-purpose blade has a certain allure.
