Pretty easy to install with 3/4 SCH40 or metal flex. Keep in mind that you will need the proper water proof connectors for what conduit you are planning on using.

For $37 I purchased this NEMA 14-50R box for 50A/240Vac that fits RV or EV cords with handles but still allows cover to close. Installation on the wall was easy. One slide down screw plus two through-holes that allow for about a 1/4" bolt or screw. The difficulty was the knockout for the cable conduit. This box does not have knockouts on the sides or bottom. It only has guides for where to make the holes. I wanted a bottom entry and tried to drill one out. But I should have purchased the knockout tool. The 2nd biggest issue is that I used 6/3 copper cable but the box was not big enough inside to easily reinstall the outlet plate and press it back in place. 3rd issue was the short ground from outlet to box. I solved this by simply replacing with a longer green 8 AWG. 4th issue was the tiny screws to hold the outlet plate in place. With so much force needed to press the outlet plate flat I feared the tiny screws would not hold. So I replaced with slightly larger (but not much longer) self-tapping screws). So overall a 4 Star rating. Subject to change after a few months of use in the weather, and bugs and general usage.

After going though Covid and dealing with hotels/motels who wanted to know if we were vaxed and had proof, my wife and I purchased a 19' camper. While stocking, and setting up, we decided to power it for the charging system and to run the A/C while getting things prepared. I found this connector on Amazon which seemed like a good choice. Here are some of the pros & cons.Pros ....Metal is good, sturdy, and constructed well.Use a lag screw into a stud when you install.Lid flips up cleanly, and completely closes (see cons)Wire connections are decent and meet our electric code. Use #10 THHN. (Don't go cheap and use #12 or #14 especially when running the air conditioner.)When attaching to vinyl siding, fill the area between box and gaps in siding so bugs don't build nests behind the box.Cons ....While lid works great, you need a 90-deg plug on your cable, else the lid won't close. There will be a gap with the cable, so it could become a wasp house. Use rubber glued to the inside to prevent wasps and bees from building inside. You can use an old innertube with Weldwood cement. This is the only reason for a "4" on weatherproof.

Keep in mind you’ll need a tool to punch out the holes, they are not hand-removable.
