Ordered this ahead of a camping trip that had both 30 and 50 amp outlets. I have a 30 amp converter, but it's just one plug and I thought additional 15/20 amp plugs would be useful. Totally correct. I could plug in multiple extension cords and run various things at the campsite which was super useful. The length helped the outlets hang just below the box. We didn't have any rain so I can't comment on the weatherproofness of the covers, they seemed a little flimsy for that, more as a precaution of not sticking something in the outlet.

Searched for a while to procure a robust L14-50 cord with the right plug. This one has been great for the generator and provides enough amps for the furnaces, frig, etc. You cant run multiple large household items without one. I was going to do a small MTS off the 1PH, 200A panel, but was holding off on the $1500 at the moment. Hence, this is the second best thing then an MTS to get the most out of your Gen. Its a little pricey, but its made well and again - its worth much more when the power goes down.

For generators of a certain size, the standard 3-prong outlets have to be protected GFCIs. The problem is, these can be tripped by anything that contains a motor, such as a refrigerator, window unit A/C, etc. This means you'll be forever resetting the GFCIs to keep those appliances up and running. However, if your generator has a 50-amp plug, you can purchase this and run 120V appliances off the 14-50R plug on your generator and skip the GFCIs. Note, this is a bit dangerous since you lose the ground-fault protection. But it will allow your generator to happily run the appliances that would otherwise trip the GFCI outlets. It worked well to keep our appliances up and running while I worked to replace the meter box and load panel in our house.

Quite a bit girthier than I expected. The transparent end and the markings on it lets me know that it is indeed split between the two circuits. (There are some adapters that aren't and the descriptions don't say anything about that either way.)

I recently installed a 240 Volt/50 Amp outlet outside of my garage for charging RVs and electric cars. This adapter plugged into that outlet, gives me four 120 Volt outlets. I have used this numerous times to plug things in while in my driveway. Vacuum cleaner, air compressor, electric leaf blower, and a few other things. It's heavy duty and well made.

I like the 4 prong 220v to 110v multi plug end.

It's a nice outlet, extension cord that's made my 240 volt outlet used way more often. Good quality but should be for this price point.
