Suitable for 483mm (19") components and for attaching built-in components to cabinets (such as patch panels, switches, etc.) to network cabinets or other, similar housings with comparable fastener technology. These cage nuts are clamped to the back into the holding rail of the housing, after which the component to be installed is screwed on from the front. The M6 size is the standard size for common network cabinets, server cabinets, wall cases, electronics cases and racks (19" and 10" sizes) and, as such, is universally suitable for attaching shelves, patch panels, switches, fans, and other components.

These screws work great for mounting networking equipment in 19" rack. Quality.

These do exactly what they need to do.Now, some gear don't have the holes in the same place as others, so it makes it difficult to screw these in because the clips don't allow the screw to move around. If there was a way that rotating the clips 90° would allow the screw to enter in a different position, that would be great.

Kind of a get what you pay for scenario. They do the job. But they are flimsy and have a loose fit. I was knocking them out as i was mounting my gear after barely bumping it leading to some bad words as I fished it out of the narrow crack in the railing of my rack. After finally getting everything in They are sturdy. But they will likely not survive if I ever unrack everything for a move. Certainly not a 5 star product

Needed cage nuts to rebuild my server rack, having lost the bag I bought with cage nuts in, so bought these to try out. what to say about them, well the actual nut part has a solid spring, they wont bend like the soft metal ones do, despite being very stiff spring wise, I was able to fit them without using an insertion tool, once in and tight they grip rather good. These have a cross head bolt, not the dam horrible hex head so I could use a long screwdriver to reach to the back of the rack, leaving the skin on my fingers intact, good decent quality and I like the plastic cup washers as they give a neat finish and protect the paint on the devices being fitted. Bolts and nuts, washer came in desperate bags in the box.No pictures because I used all of them and I wont show a picture of the finished rack because its top secret, my wife knows the internet works but has no idea how much I spent on it.....if she sees a picture it may lead to my demise.

Good value set that dues the job well. Bolt heads do mark/chip easily so probably not the best for items you’ll be removing regularly but great for use in a static rack.

Ich habe die Muttern für die Montage eines Routers im Netzwerkschrank gekauft. Die Muttern funktionieren bei mir ohne Probleme.

I needed cage nuts. These were the first ones that looked decent.I learnt that I don't need the weird washer things. They clip on and are removable as easy as all other cage nuts.My only gripe is that while tightening the screws, I had 2 fail on me (used 24 cage nuts so far). When they fail, they are a right pain to remove and re-do.
