i have five portable tabletop fireplaces around the inside and outside of our house. they add peace, quiet and tranquility to each area of our house where they are at. overtime, the wicks on them needs replacement and just stuffing them with cotton just doesnt cut it for me. these ceramic wool wicks are far better material than regular cotton. the bioethanol i use on each fireplace appear to be absorbed and released more efficiently with these wools. they appear to be more long lasting too. if you have a portable fireplace; this is the wick to have! it comes with 50 small pcs. which is ample enough for my five!

It didn't do anything to extend the flame. I can even say that it shortened the burn time. All it seemed to do was soak up the alcohol and prevent the fire from catching.
