While most commonly used for masking purposes during finishing, there are hundreds of other uses around the shop, home, lab, classroom, etc. This superior grade of silicone is capable of withstanding temps up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 Celsius) for 20 minutes and holds up to most chemicals. It is ultra tough yet flexible, reusable and will not crack, harden, shrink or break over time. Use these on some vacuum lines on my truck that likes to run hot. They hold up very well and I havent had any issues

I liked the malleable nature of the cap. I ordered the 1/8 in size which is so small it's hard to gage. It was possible to 'sculpt' them over the cut wire ends I wanted to cover (like pulling a bathing cap on) and they've stayed in place beautifully.
