These nuts have a nice wide flange diameter on them and there are ribs on the flange to help prevent the nut from backing off the bolt. These were easy to use very similar to other flange nuts I have at my shop. So far, I have not had any of the flange nuts that I use back off the bolts as they are all staying tight like I left them.

Flange nut with serrations work as locking nut just fine . Will buy again .

This works for replacing the tighten bolt on small hand held chainsaws. I have a chainsaw that instead of this bolt had kind of the nut threads in a plastic that let you tighten it with your fingers. Problem with that is the threads quickly strip out of the plastic and become useless. These work much better but you will need to use a wrench to tighten them. Just a shame you have to buy so many when al you need is one or two.

Typical Chinese crap! Looks like they made the nut as small as they could and keep the thread to cut cost. What happened to staying with standards.
