these rivets are fantastic. The idea of using copper rivets has completely revolutionized my leather making hobby! Using copper rivets is fun, and they're permanence is fantastic!. They also look better than the hollow core cap rivets that I've used in the past. This is a true innovation for me, and if you haven't tried them, I hope you do. Copper is a beautiful material, and it looks great with the warm tones of natural and tanned leathers.

Nice copper rivets, didn't come with a set tool though. But I can use a small socket or a #6 copper sleeve.

Firstly, get a good rivet setter for driving the burr onto the rivet. Secondly, you will need a pair of long handled, heavy duty cutters to snip the rivets.I've used these to attach bag handles, and also on knife sheaths (through the welt, without stitching). You can peen the rivets for a great effect, or just some them flat.I love the look, too.

I ordered these specifically because I already have a setter from another brand. The setter is a metal punch with a hole drilled into it that "sets" the burr (washer) deep onto the post and against the material you're joining. It also has a dished area to start rounding the trimmed rivet.The burr is the "backer" that holds the two pieces together. You trim the rivet to about 1/8" above the set burr and round it over with a hammer and the dished part of the setter.Easy to use, these are quality rivets.
