I was expecting these to be a bit larger, the photo makes them look like medium-sized rhinestones, and they are small to medium-ish in size. I have much smaller than this which would be XXS XS and S so if I could help you understand their size they are between S small and almost M medium. Great for detailing hats, shirts, shoes, ornaments, cards, magnets, hair accessories, jewelry making, and more. These have nearly flawless mirror backing and a beautiful iridescent sheen. This pack says 40g is likely sold by weight and not by count, however, 500 pieces could be give or take 10 pieces. So keep in mind there could be a little fewer or a little more since they are sold by weight. Also, you will need to have jewel-it glue, special rhinestone glue, and or crafting glue which works better than others because some types of glues will cause the mirror backing to crackle and ruin the gems. Do a bit of research first before you use any glue. Double-sided glue dots may work, but they will need to be small, or if you have one a multi-size sheet of them to pick from to use the right size to stick the gems onto crafting projects. The price per piece if there are 500 comes out to .02 cents each, which is a decent value as oftentimes rhinestones can be quite spendy. Order your favorite colors or get a few mixed sets to have on hand for a variety of crafting needs, they are excellent embellishments. Also if you like to organize them you could get one of those divider bins that you can organize them by either shape or color or small craft jars, sold separately. Keep out of reach of small children as these pose a choking hazard. I would supervise small children if they are going to craft with them ages 5 years old and up.

A nice set of embellishments. I did not count them but I sure there are at least 500 pcs. There definetley more of the smaller ones than the larger ones. I don't see it in the photos, but the gems have holes like for beading or something. The colors ae really pretty.

Got these to use in my vintage jewelry crafting and they are perfect. I thought these would be great to use to fill in small spaces and I was right...they worked out very well. I love the assortment of colors and shapes that were included. They will definitely add some bling to my crafting projects.

These are fine for what they are. Great colors, tons of them, and good sparkle. We use them as "currency" in a live-action role-playing game.They are smaller than I anticipated -- the measurements on the description seem correct, but they show mostly large ones in the photos and you should just note that there are a lot of little ones as well. I was also hoping for sharper cuts -- the facets are rather soft, which translates into less fire and sparkle than they could otherwise have. So they get a "good", but not "great". Since ours will be tossed around and many will be lost, we're fine with something a bit less expensive and thus lower quality, even if it means they aren't as amazingly gem-like as one might hope.

Great addition to my craft room. I've used them on cloth and plastic. They stick well if you use the right glue. They don't have any sharp or rough edges. It's a good set and a good price for the amount you get.

These gems are so pretty. They're easy to work with, but are on the smaller side, so if you have a large project you'll probably need a lot of them. I keep having to grab them back from my kids because they keep stealing them. These have worked great so far for me--I've used them in small resin projects. I love the iridescent look to them, and the sparkle.

The larger stones in this set look like cheap plastic toy versions of rhinestones. They will work good on costumes for kids plays because when they fall off it won't break the bank replacing them . The smaller ones are slightly better but they are still cheap plastic stones so you get what you pay for.
