This is part that is used to be welded. Anodizing shouldn’t be done on anything that needs to be welded. Had to media blast it to make a decent weld.

This material welds just fine just like most aluminum alloys . The reason people are leaving one star is because they are just un educated in how aluminum works. All aluminum forms an oxide layer after being extruded which you cannot weld without it looking like the reviews . You MUST take some sort of scotch pad and remove the oxide then clean the part before welding.

Bung on the left is quality vibrant product. Flange on right is this product. Absolute trash quality with some more of coating/anodizing that persisted even when brushed. I don’t know who left 5 stars for this piece, but it wasn’t the person doing the welding.

As another reviewer mentioned, this "alloy" is nearly unweldable. I ended up cutting it off and using an alternate, which I welded on with no issue.
