Good product but these are 9.75mm wide. The slot in 40 series extrusion is spec'ed at 8.13. Will not fit unless you slide them in from the end defeating the purpose of a hammer nut. The do fit the 45 series extrusion.

Let me tell ya, these are some big nuts. I helped my uncle buck build a bug zapper and my job was tightening these babies down.

I bought these in order to be able to add to 4040 slots without dismantling an assembly, but these did not fit through the slot in my 4040 track. I was wondering if the M8 item would fit as the slot isn't much wider -- turns out it doesn't. Perhaps the M5 and M6 items will.Otherwise, they are fine.
