I got these to make repairs to an old electric fence on my property that was poorly repaired in the past. I'm using these to patch the old wire joins where the wires were just looped and twisted in the past. These should make a much better electrical connection and keep the animals from testing the fence so much.I should have enough left over to use when setting up my new fence as well. So far they have worked well.I use a couple pairs of pliers to get them good and snug. I wish they had regular hex bolt heads though as I think that would make tightening them a bit easier.

If feel once tightened down, these will hold for a long time. My application was for something of a thicker gauge material; not fence wire. I will say these are small. Pro--wont stick out, Con--you can lose them in the grass so be careful when installing.
