I actually ended up just using the lobster claw. By itself it did the job I needed done, but he split rings (key rings) are top quality too. But I'd buy a split ring (key ring) set of pliers if you are going to use the split rings. too strong to use finger nails to pull apart, and trying to use a staple puller on one this size is awkward. Those little pliers only cost a couple of bucks and make working with the split rings a whole log easier.

These are perfect for keyrings for keychains. I can either attach items to the ring itself, or use the claw - its super versatile and works well with my projects.
