For over 20 years we had an old chunky mercury vapor light on the side of a building. We didn't use it all the time, mostly when we needed extra light in the yard at night as it would light up the whole area. However, it used a ton of electricity and would take forever to warm up and get bright.I was pleased when I found this 20,000 lumen LED replacement. It's 1/4 of the size of the old unit and much lighter weight. It seems very well made; the outer shell and the holding arm are made out of what I think is hefty aluminum. Swapping the lights was easy to do, everything was labeled, and the instructions were pretty easy to follow. It comes with a bag of mounting hardware (screws, wire nuts, washers, etc) for everything you need to setup this light. If you are mounting this light on a pole, the three nuts that hold it onto the pole are already screwed into the holding arm instead of the bag with the other hardware.I like that this light is easily adjustable by tiny increments. You just loosen the wing nut bolt a little bit, turn the light up or down to whatever angle you need, make sure the "teeth" lock and then re-tighten the bolt. I have this light slightly tilted upward to cast the light out a little more away from the wall. This light is REALLY bright! It is a really nice bright white and much better to look at than the old mercury vapor that had sort of a blue hue. This light instantly turns on which is fantastic, and really lights up the area while using way less electricity. I'll be looking forward to having this on more often at night when I want to do some nighttime gardening on the deck on late summer evenings. It has a dusk to dawn sensor built in if I want to leave it on all the time, or I can manually turn it off at the wall switch. The only issue I have with this light at this time is the dusk to dawn sensor when I leave it on all the time. When the light first turns on at dusk, whether it's a clear sky or cloudy sky evening, the light will automatically turn on at dusk for a few seconds and then turn off. Then it will turn on again for a few seconds and then turn off. And it repeats this 1 to 2 DOZEN times or more before it finally stays on when it's dark enough, and that's too bright of a light to be flashing on and off like that several times. I'm sure neighbors wonder what is going on.I think the sensor is too recessed and should be more exposed on the outside so that it can better detect the light levels and keep the light on when it comes on the first time at dusk. I'm not awake early enough in the mornings to know if it does the same on/off issue at dawn.Another potential concern is the hole in the top of the holding arm where the cord that comes out of the top of the light goes down into. There is another hole on the bottom towards the base of the arm where it mounts to the wall. My concern is water going down into that hole and potentially causing issues with the wiring, even though the wire nuts are secured in place with extra electrical wire wrapped around them.Other than that, this light has been really nice so far other than the main on/off issue.

I was in the market for an outdoor light for our backyard, one that I could wire into a wall switch just inside the back door. I am pleased with this Leddictive 50W Barn Light for several reasons:1. The instructions for installation were easy to follow and gave several ways it can be installed. I choose to mount it on the wall, though you can also mount on a pole (not provided)2. All the hardware you need for the basic wall mount is included, though you will need a few tools ranging from basic stuff like hammers and screwdrivers, up to power drills if you're mounting on a masonry surface3. The light is very bright and gives good coverage. The coverage will extend farther the higher you can mount the light (they suggest up to 18 feet high)4. A dusk to dawn feature (photocell) operates very well, though if you have any other outside lights (we have some string lights) they can cause the light to shut down. It's pretty sensitive, and the sensitivity cannot be adjusted.5. It is an adjustable light, with around 150 degrees of rotation up and down. If you want it to adjust from side to side you'll need to opt for the pole mount. The light itself does not swivel right and left.6. I like that the mounting hardware is all metal, and that the housing for the light is also metal (aluminum) and all very sturdy.I really like the Leddictive Yard light and feel it is perfect for our backyard. Lightweight but sturdy, it is a good addition to the house and an added measure of security.

We added this light to a dark exterior wall of our event venue. It provides plenty of light and looks professional. The 3-wire installation was pretty straightforward. We did have to put some wire loom around the wires before feeding it into a plate on the junction box. The Photocell turns on when it starts to get dark, just before sunset. We were pretty happy with the reliability of that. The light is bright enough it provides some light for our neighbors property and they have actually thanked us for it, as it helps deter loiterers.
