I’ve had this bag for over 7 years now and love it more than ever. I’ve used it as my primary work bag for going to the office everyday as well as all other activities, including international travel, boarding ships at sea from small boats for casualty investigations, going to court (I'm a maritime lawyer), teaching (I'm also a professor). The bag carries a ton of gear including 15” computer and extra screen, water, tools, personal first aid kit (PFAK), books, files, evidence materials, etc. Great heavy duty shoulder strap for hands free ops; also a retention strap for carrying with roll-one suitcase.I usually wear out briefcases after a year or two, but the side kick has no damage at all after over 7 years of hard core, heavy use -- the zippers are still fine, the straps are all good, and not a rip, even though I often load the bag up with a LOT of gear and books.I have recommended bags to many colleagues who have picked up one (or more) for themselves, including other maritime lawyers, technicians (who use them as dedicated tool and equipment bags, and been likewise delighted. My son is a fighter pilot/test pilot and uses his as a flight planning bag. I have recently picked up a couple of spares, in the unlikely event that my "battle bag" ever wears out, or the more likely scenario that I can use the additional ones for other special purposes, such as a car "contingency" bag. Absolutely the best.

I'm currently an office dweller but I do occasionally have to go into the field for trainings and service for electrical contractors. The Boy Scout in me encourages me always carry around the basic necessities for these trips. There are a plethora of storage compartments in this thing. I use the velcro compartment for my EDC using a hook & loop holster made for a safe door. Works perfectly. I've also added a Universal backpack insert organizer into the larger compartment for even more storage. This thing is large! It takes up my passenger seat, plan accordingly!

Wanted to buy a second one and it doubled in price! Still worth it!! This is a great bag that allows one to carry so much it reminds me of the TARDIS . . . Google it . . . seriously I am amazed when I empty it and see all that I had in it.

FIrst off - I had to buy this on Amazon because 5.11 wasn't listing it on their website. The replacement bag just isn't as good. This is the second one of these bags I bought - the first was when it first came out around 2015.This bag is AWSOME especially if your an investigator or cyber specialist that needs a good airport bag that holds 2 laptops, a binder, a full frame semi-auto (fully concealed in the bag - classic 5.11 velcro close pistol compartment, you need to order the velcro block and holster attachment to secure it or at the end of the day it will hold a full frame in an IWB leather holster)The water bottle pockets will easily hold 2 32oz wide mouth bottles, the front pockets hold the normal pens, cell phones, etc. If you only have one water bottle a full size digital radio will fit easily in the pocket. There's also a rain cover that pops out of the bottom. There's a pass through for your roller bag too so you don't have to hump it through the airport.Here's what fits in the bag:1) Rain poncho2) ATAC or Fenix flashlight3) Mid sized ASP4) 2 sets cuffs5) Full frame pistol and mag pouch6) Pocket notebook7) 3 ring binder of work garbage and calendars8) Macbook Air in laptop compartment9) 15" Lenovo Thinkpad in Lenovo sleeve in main compartment10) iPad11) 2 iphones13) IBD and TQ14) Radio (Motorola - standard large duty radio)15) 2 blue, 2 black, 1 red pen + yellow highlighter16) Personal wallet17) Nametape can attach with velcro on the front (standard mil/tdu nametape width with a velcro backing)18) Protein bar19) When needed, passport.20) USBC Multi Charger with cables for everything.21) Portable battery pack to recharge all that crap when there's no power :)Point being - this can pack as much as my large Ogio PC backpack but it does it in a better form factor for air travel - If there's no firearm in the bag there's enough room in the main compartment to put my airpod max's in or I just clip the case to the strap and go with it. The Renegade Ogio backpack I tried using for awhile ended up to deep to easily fit under a seat in the plane and was hard to pack through the airport compared to this. I'm glad I found one of the one's remaining after 5.11 dropped it. This bag is just too awesome.Durable too, my last one just wore out from constant use. Anything with a velcro closure gets weaker with age and heavy use - tip - try to keep it away from pet hair as that makes the velcro useless after awhile and it's hard to get out. That said, I made several international and countless domestic flights with that bag, carrying larger laptops and bulkier chargers and other than really wearing out the velcro, the bag wasn't dead - in fact it's a spare range bag now.

I call it my mini BOB. Works perfect. Tough as nails. I like the rain cover in the bottom pocket that provides extra padding when not in use. The pocket arrangement works better than most of the other designs available. Every pocket is very easy to access. Only issue I have is the two spots by each handle attachment for the CCW pocket that lack velcro. Leaves a small potential opening where you can see into the pocket. It’s minor though. Overall, this bag gets high marks in design and toughness.

Excellent case that you will be happy you purchased. This is by far the best bag / case / briefcase I have ever used. Solid material and quality construction with ample room; if you are looking for something to carry your stuff, this is the briefcase that sets the bar.

Great bag, had a company laptop bag and out grew it with in weeks. Had enough of spilling everything out of it across the car park. Picked up a 511 side trip briefcase and boom, enough room for everything. Even lunch and water bottle.Highly recommend.

大きさは少し大きめとは思いましたが、その分サイドポケットも大きく出し入れもしやすいです。取っ手はしっかりしており、説明写真にある通り、一体になり、持っても痛くなったりしません。また、メイン部はファスナーが2列で、その真ん中は片側がマジックテープになっており、ファスナー全開にすると開けることで、大きな開口部になることです。そのように全開する事はありませんが、一番良かったのは、そのファスナー部がつながっており、指でつまむことなく簡単に開けられることです。なので肩掛けしたままの出し入れも非常に楽です。（ファスナーが繋がっているは、説明写真に奥行の方のペットボトルを入れるにはよさそうな縦長のサイドポケットの写真がありますが、それを見てみて下さい。確認できます。）仕切りはクッションもあるので、パソコンなども安心で、容量的にも十分です。ショルダーパットは片側は防水のようなコーティングがあります。形状が幅は大きめで左右非対称なので、表裏になったりしますが、どっちでも見た目がおかしい事はなく、肩が痛くなる感じもありません。なので、そこはあまり気にしてません。問題はほこりが少しつきやすいかな、、、と思います。明るい外ではわかりやすいですが、こまめに気にするのも面倒で、近くで見ない以上は、パット見はわからない気もしますが、コロコロで取ったりしてます。防水は最初から防水スプレーをかけましたので、ノーマルでの感じはわかりませんが、通常ずぶ濡れになる事はそう無いと思いますので、ほぼ気にしてません。が、商品説明にありませんが、実は、見た目全くわかりませんが、底面がマジックテープで開くようになっており、中にはレインカバーが収納されてます。基本的には気に入って使用しています。

I bought this case to use as a Navigator's Bag; doing sailing qualifications involves an awful lot of books and charts and tools. I'm very pleased with the purchase as it does exactly what was advertised and precisely what I need. The bag features a large unstructured internal pocket, easily accommodating multiple books and miscellaneous items (including optics, etc), a rear (slightly padded) laptop compartment, two large front zip pockets for all the little odds and sods that you accumulate, flask pockets at either end, carry handles and a shoulder strap, and finally an integrated water cover that - while not exactly waterproof - would provide pretty good additional protection during light showers.It features typical 5.11 Tactical quality and logic and I highly recommend it.

仕事用に購入しました。サイドポケットの片方にペットボトル、もう一方に折り畳み傘を入れてますが、少々の水滴ではメイン収納に染みたことがありません。メイン収納についてもA4の分厚いファイル(10cm幅ぐらいのやつ)もすらりと入ったうえで、サブ収納に文房具や手帳を入れても余裕があるので重宝しています。またショルダーベルトについても幅が適度にあるので、人にもよりますが荷物を入れて重たくなっても、肩が痛くなりにくいです。サイズ的には通勤バッグやビジネスバッグとして利用したら確実に大きいと思います。しかし、多くの書類・ファイルや仕事道具がいる際や日常的にそれらを多様する職種の人にはオススメです。また、１泊２日程度の旅行であれば、旅行カバンにもできます。
