The sealant is great. Worked as I hoped it would on my jet ski skid pads. Was supposed to come with gloves...it didn't.

This product is not was expecting and honestly feels like false advertising. First, I didn't realize this wasn't REAL 5200. But fine that's on me I guess - as long as it FUNCTIONS like real 5200. But it doesn't. It dries nothing like it - it dries more like a regular silicone caulk, which isn't going to work for the project I bought it for. So now I have to remove it all and re-do my project *again* with the real stuff. Also, it didn't even come with the gloves! Petty I know and something I didn't even care about, but once I realized the stuff doesn't even act like your typical 5200, it was just icing on the cake.

The good- This is easy to use on dry or wet surfaces. It cures pretty quickly. Application can be a little tricky because the material is sticky, so having a few different applicators to use is helpful. It works well to fill small cracks and scrapes on boats, but also on other fiberglass/plastic items like car toppers on pickups and cracks in coolers.The negatives are mostly in application...you need to be both patient and work with little delay. The material is putty like, but more like a thick toothpaste. It takes some care to apply it smoothly because it sticks to the applicators, so you need to keep them clean.. If you are repairing a lot of little dents, scrapes or splits, the one tube might not be enough as it's only 3 oz. If you are filling a fairly deep crevice/cut, you're probably going to want to put in a number of successive layers and overfill a bit. Use a fine sandpaper after it cures to smooth the area out.Overall, easier to use than materials that need to be mixed, but size of tube limits how much you can repair at any one time.

I own an older Jeep Wrangler. If you own a Wrangler you find you either learn to turn wrenches or you go broke. Whenever something goes funky, or if I want to upgrade, I do it myself. Not only have I done dozens of repairs I've also installed a ton of upgrades. My Jeep is a passion. Jeeps aren't known to be waterproof by any stretch, but there are some things I wanted to treat, like where I've passed wires through the firewall. When I saw this sealant I had to try it.This stuff works! I always like using marine-rated products as the conditions are terrible, so what works for boats should work great for my Jeep. I used this to seal off a few areas and after 24 hours everything was cured and tight. I now don't have to worry about water or exhaust getting into the cab.Overall I'm happy with this sealant!

Got it to seal a part of my Jeep soft top near the tailgate and this did a great job. As others have said, this is a toothpaste consistently. However, it has served it's purpose well. Long term we will see and I can update the review if it as needed. But for my project it has worked well.
