Magnesium Chloride, while more expensive than rock salt, doesn't damage concrete and is pet paw friendly. Worth the additional cost.

Melts and does the job but what’s with the wet look days and days after? All the areas I didn’t use this on my asphalt driveway look dry.

This is essentially just normal salt. It doesn't work anywhere near as well as actual MgCl2. Three hours after applying this to my walkway and driveway, it barely melted anything. I've had better products melt everything in half the time. Don't waste your money
