I use a lot of the expensive 162 trays ect but needed smaller trays again this year. Those flimsy plastic ones split or bust out after a season or two. These trays are somewhere in the middle. You can run over them with your truck but they are sturdy and should last several years of hard use.

I purchased these last spring with the intent of starting all my seeds. They worked out beautifully. The cells are deep enough to allow for good plant root structure. The trays underneath allow for water collection, or as a method to water when the seedlings are large enough. Keeps all the water off your potting bench. When it was time to plant, I used a thick pencil (or dowel) to poke through the bottom and push the seedlings up to the top. The trays washed up easily and with proper care are thick enough to use again and again. After a bleach solution clean up they are ready to go for this next spring. I think they are a good value for the money and would highly recommend them.

Some of the cell walls are nice and thick, and other are kind of flimsy. Some came with rips in the cell walls. Overall they are quite strong. So I was shocked to discover. Give yours a very detailed glance over when you receive it.

These arrived quickly and as advertised. The plug or cell part of the trays feel a bit flexible and as you would expect. The top/ rim of the tray feels MUCH more rigid. I am really hoping this means they will hold up as this is where the plug trays I have come across in the past, have cracked. (You can still use them, it just makes moving the trays more difficult.) My trays did come with the corners of one tray banged up from delivery, sort of crunched in from impact. Nothing was broken and they are still perfectly useable so I am not concerned. These trays have a large hole at the bottom of each cell, which is good for seedlings and drainage. This also gives you the option to tray water from the bottom once the roots get established. They do not have any recycling information, as far as what number plastic they are, for when they are no longer useable. Lots of pots don't but some are starting to, so it would have been a nice bit of info to include. It's the wrong season to start seedlings so I won't be able to really test these out and see how they wear, for a few more months. As of 10/23, I think they will suit my needs well and the sturdiness of the 'frame" seems quite promising. (I am hoping they have a deeper version for starting things with tap roots.) I do expect to be able to use these for several seasons so I will be sure to update my review if they do not last or if I run into any issues!

I like them. Sturdy, look like they will last a long time. A more compact size that still holds a lot of plants and is deep enough for good root development. They are a good fit for the stainless steel trays.

These trays are awesome. I do a lot of seed starting in the spring and these are wonderful. They are sturdy and strong. The cells are just the right size for most vegetable seed starts and they don't take up much space. They are easy to çarry around even when filled with soil and plants and should last a very long time.

I'm only not returning these cause I have to start planting now. But this are completely false advertising. They are the weakest trays I've ever used. There are like a hair width thick plastic. There is no way someone could stand on them like in the picture shows, a cat couldn't stand on them with out crushing them. They won't last a season. Already came broken an smushed from shipping, when the shipping box was fine. THESE ARE CHEAP AF. You could get the same quality from the lowest priced ones you can find any where. NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL.
