If you've ever known the pain of damaged filter threads you know why it's important to have the best material for the job. Budget filters and stepup/down rings are made of aluminum these days. High end filter threads are made of brass for a reason...it's durable, doesn't jam easily and can be repaired when bent or cross-threaded...all of those things aluminum is not. A single, quality brass stepup ring would usually set you back $20-50 depending on size...but, Luzid changed the game.I ran across Luzid brass stepdown rings a few years ago on Amazon and I picked up a 52mm-77mm for $7 on a whim, thinking maybe they were lying about the material or the machining would be terrible..but they are simply a high quality piece of kit. They aren't $7 anymore, but still they are the most affordable brass filter adapters out there. Look no further!

I had a gig out of town and suddenly found I was in need of a step ring that adapt ND filters to my pancake Panasonic lenses. I needed it fast and the exact size and didn't have time for mistakes. I have purchased brass step rings prior and know they are much better than aluminum or plastic, so that was a must. The sizing was an issue because not many companies offer a 46mm to 52mm adapter for such a low price. Finally, I also needed it in a couple of days so it had to be delivered quickly. LUZID fulfilled the order with a perfectly fitting step ring, great price, and fast delivery.

I bought two of these step-up rings to use 52mm filters with my lenses. The rings are black painted brass which should mean better performance than aluminum filters & rings that are famous for getting stuck. In spite of being made of brass, these rings were difficult to screw on the lens, difficult to mount the 52mm filter and it was an absolute nightmare to get the step-up ring off the lens & the filter off the step-up ring. Both step-up rings behaved the same way, so it's just poor quality.

Good fit on the Sigma lens. Now able to use all my Nikon (52) filters. Threads are much better than many others that I've used before.

With adapter ring I can use my full range of filters on either of my main two lenses.I purchase filters to fit the largest lens and adapt down to the smallest. it saves money and space in my back since I can only use one lense at a time. If I change lenses, I can keep my current filter selections for consistent appearance.

What a steal. Compares favorably with Heliopan and B+W brass rings. I just wish more sizes were available.

Instantly cross threaded itself to my Hoya 82mm UV+IR - Ruining both. I gently installed the adapter to the filter the first use, and then tried to gently back it out just to check the fit - wouldn't budge. Fine, I placed it in a hard filter case and brought it home - used plastic filter removal grips, silicon mats, everything, no luck... I don't know how they managed to engineer it to fail so instantly and spectacularly. Very expensive mistake.
