I am doing a v8 swap into an old MGB roadster. This means that much of the OEM geometry is changing; a big part is how the steering functions. In my case, this meant either I had to find a way to adapt the old to the new or invest in a multi-hundred dollar part from another old car, which would also require adaptation. After searching I found this and took a gamble. For me, it was a direct fit and solved a complex problem quickly since it can operate at a very tight angle. The only thing to look out for is that while it's 3/4", it's a flat 3/4". That means you have to grind down a circular 3/4" to have 2 flat edges that measure about 1/2". You'll be drilling for pins anyhow so get that grinder out and make it happen!Great part, took what was going to be weeks of experimentation and got the job done in an hour.

Didn't fit like I wanted it too. Bought a smaller joint and had to file it out a little.

The universal joint appeared to be good quality but the size interfered where it needed to be installed and I had to use instead of double d shaft a weld on rod
