I couldn’t find clean out plug to fit. So I decided to give this a try. It was so easy to insert and obtain a water tight seal. Highly recommend.

Bought this to replace a cleanout cap.A friend who owns the house noticed water on the patio after draining the washer. He was convinced he needed a plumber. If he would have went that route it would have cost him lots of money to fix. The threads on the fitting are severely rusted and can no longer receive a cap. A plumber would have had to break open the brick to do the repairs. I don’t even think you can get the same brick anymore due to age of house.I ordered this expansion plug instead. It fit perfectly and solved the problem for around $11.00.He was very happy to say the least. No more water on the ground. No more risk of foreign objects plugging drain line either.

Short story, perfect fit for the floor drain clean out hole.I say finally having looked at all the local stores only finding 1.5 or 2 plugs.I personally liked the standard nut over wing nut since I dont plan on needing to open back up.

As an expanding rubber plug, it is exemplary, perfectly filling the cleanout hole in my floor drain. A wingnut would have been nice, but that's ok. And look, it comes in a convenient 2-pack! My basement only has one drain, but the second plug will make a great gift. Anyone have good ideas for using it?

Finally found a cap that actually fit into my back out drain. Had to tap it in with a hammer, real lightly, but works like a charm.
