When I bought my Olympus OMD camera it was used and it did not come with the appropriate cables to accommodate it but I had batteries and charger and I was happy to take the card out of it to transfer my photos but in the back of my mind I always wanted the cables that came with it for convenience. I was happy to see that this cable was not only available but inexpensive. Now I can update my cameras software, transfer photos from the camera to the computer without having to remove the card from the camera itself and the many other functions that come with this camera being plugged into your computer. I highly recommend this for anybody that has a Olympus OMD camera but also for anyone that has a need for such a cable if it's compatible with what devices you own this is a good cable it's sturdy it's made out of quality material and it does the job when it clicks into the ports it is a little tough to get in to the port it doesn't slide in super easy but it doesn't slide out super easy either which is good you want a good secure connection you don't want loose connections because loose connections will burn out the connector and ruin your devices that was one of the things I was impressed with you can hear a firm snap when it snaps into the connector and you can hear it when you pull it out it pops out nicely not too hard but not too easy just right it's the Goldilocks cord LOL
