Built a model railroad campfire scene. Used two red, two orange and two yellow flicker leds. The specs should have been included. Settled on 5 VIC and 150 ohms. Works great.

Excellent illumination and a really great effect. Had to knock one star off because one of the LEDs I received was broken. Luckily, I didn't need all of them on the project.

Great flickering LED. If you're looking for a true candle color substitute, don't get orange because it's nearly red in color. You can modify it slightly using higher value resistors, but you get the effect at the cost of less brightness. The default is 150 ohms for 5V supply, and about 56 ohms for 3V. I'm using these to make minecraft redstone torches to go underneath my kids' bunk beds.

These LEDs are great! They are just as advertised, bright, and providing the candle flicker effect.I found that I’d ordered the wrong color for my purpose, and sent a note to Lighthouse LEDs, explaining what I needed. They responded the same day, and sent me replacement LEDs by First Class mail, arriving in just a couple of days. This solved my problem. I was so impressed with the prompt and unquestioning service. I recommend these folks without reservation!

Requires at least 4.5vdc to fire the flicker circuit. Otherwise a great diode. Nice color and effect.
