Making the case was a little tricky. Other than that, I'm happy with it.----------HOW TO GET YOUR CAMERA TO WORK ON THE RPI 3 B+ RUNNING JESSE/RASPBIAN:Plug the ribbon cable right in, silver towards HDMI port on the 3B+. Turn your device on now.On your Raspberry Pi's Linux terminal, type this to update the raspberry pi (might be necessary)sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgradeThen, to enable the camera:sudo raspi-configGo to "interface options"Enter "camera" (first option)Enable the camera. It will ask if you want to reboot. Do it. If it doesn't, type:Sudo reboot....To try it out, go back to the terminal and type:raspistill -f -o "firstpic.jpg"Or typeraspistillTo see how to take pictures from the command line.

Since Logitech can't keep up with demand and all webcams seem to have vanished from the markets with the exception of some unethical price gouging sellers, I decided to try to make my own. I'm using it with a PiZeroW attached, which costs about $10 not including accessories like a SD card, case, and power cable. I'm using "mjpeg-streamer" on the pi to turn it into an IP camera, and using "IP-Webcam" on windows to turn the IP camera stream into a webcam. Works with discord, and probably most other video chat software too.Everything works as expected, I'm happy with the product and even ordered a second one. I was looking for one without the case this time but most other options seemed to lack the Pi Zero Cable.Could the video look better? Yes, but this is a 5MP camera for less than $15. When I change resolutions it seems like the video just gets cropped differently. I can't see a noticeable difference in quality between 480p(4:3) and 720p(16:9). A 16:9 aspect ratio just seems to crop the top and bottom and result in less of the image being rendered.A tilt mechanism in the case design would be super. This is a bit hard to aim since it's at a fixed angle.

with the camera it makes it easy to customize the use of the camera either for desktop use or a budget friendly stop motion monitoring system or even a time laps camera when paired with a Raspberry Pi 3 b+. Since it is also compatable with other Pi models including all the Pi Zero w it's great with whatever Pi you chose. The Camera case was easy to assemble and surprisingly sturdy for its smaller form factor. Tho setting up the camera software did take some time and the video was grainy in lower light settings for the price I can recomend this camera for many hobbyists, diy's, and even those wanting to get into stop motion productions.

This was easier to setup and use than I was expecting. In fact, I wasn't even expecting it to come with a camera! That was a nice added bonus. I put the case together in a couple minutes without any problems. I took the protective wrap off the case but not sure if that's worth the trouble (it didn't come off easily). After the setup, it was easy to plug the cable in (blue side towards the Ethernet port), and then giving it a test run! The included instructions are helpful in case you have issues (see the url in product description).Camera worked well without any additional configs using raspistill. I also installed 'motion' and have it set up as a security camera. Sweet!

The sensor itself works well, nothing special. The mount frame is awful to assemble and pretty flimsy.

Bought a few of these modules to pair with a couple of Raspberry Pi Zero W's I had with the intention of using them in place of the Wyze v2 cams I've been having so many issues with.Needless to say, after the installation of Motion Eye, these make a fabulous replacement for the Wyze v2 product in the situations I'm deploying them in.While this module does not have nightvision, the RELIABLE connectivity provided by the RPi/MotionEye configuration far surpasses any other drawbacks.

I've been building Raspberry Pi camera servers for years now. I bought these cameras because I liked the casing they have and I needed a couple more cameras and these had a great price. Neither of them worked. I have several versions of Rpi's and not one of them would work with these cameras. Had to send them back. :(
