My poor baby dog went through all last year after we moved to a place with fleas and ticks, getting combed every night with a metal comb. The vet said something in the new environment caused her skin condition, and the comb brought it to her skin. She was given all sorts of medication. I bought her a new metal comb of better quality metal. Nothing helped. We just got this new comb, and I am hoping it will be the answer, in addition to washing the comb before using it on her, and wiping her fur with a damp cloth before brushing her. I may use several of the combs for her, since the other dogs do not seem to share her allergies.Thank you for an alternative to a metal comb. I had almost lost hope.
