Yes. These tweezers are ok, but NOT for anything Smaller than a string. They will not pinch anything at the tip, as they are not made well.If you squeeze them tighter, they just bend, so there’s definitely gaps where you’re trying to hold something. These are definitely NOT medical grade or machined very well at all. They will Not pinch a thread or hair.Do not buy unless you’re using them to pick up much larger items.

As my Dad used to say "you get what you pay for!!". I should have known that the price was to low for a quality product. These tweezers/forceps appear to be light gauge stainless steel. They are supposed to have ridged/" teeth" to add gripping power so they don't slip off what you are picking up. The ridges are visible to the naked eye but you can't feel them when you touch them. I now have an early Christmas present for my granddaughter. She can use the set to handle her insect collection and other light duty tasks. I'll be heading back to select another set that is suitable for more heavy duty use!!

This tweezer set was what I needed for my projects. However, the plastic wrap was covered in a gooey material that foamed when I tried to wipe it off.
