I use this on my whiteboard in my classroom. I have several things in it including magnetic word work boards, which are pretty heavy. It holds them perfectly!

The magnets are very strong and hold a lot of weight. I have them on the side of my filing cabinet.

They do exactly what they claim! Three of them are sitting on the side of my refrigerator with a reasonable amount of papers, files and notebooks, very functional for storage of odds and ends,finally I have piles of receipts and notes nowhere to be seen on my table top! The magnet is very strong, just don’t try to load in an elephant. The pounds they give you are the pounds it takes. When they arrive, they are fitted together very tightly so don’t think that you only got one weird bulky one. A good yank takes them apart. I’ve got the white ones and they’re on the side of my white fridge, looking attractive. They are regular size for 8 1/2 x 11 paper or folders so you do need to put them somewhere with enough space toattract the magnetic back. If your fridge is set into your cabinetry, maybe not for a kitchen. Tried the dishwasher just for fun. It’ll work if you never open the door. Lol. I have a very small apartment and I’m very pleased with how they neatened up mykitchen’s look.

Item is not as described, it was supposed to be one unit with three slots not three different file bins. I feel ripped off and lied to.
