I already own ChiaoGoo circulars (5" and 6" Interchangeable complete set of all available sizes), and I recently ventured by purchasing Knitters Pride Ginger series...gosh I really hated those as they made my hands hurt so much and needles caught the yarn and it was very hard to knit with, not to mention it was flimsy making cracking noise (I was afraid they would break and I saw some photos of broken DPNs in some reviews...) So instead I bought this and other of DPNs in sizes I often use from ChiaoGoo. I LOVE them. I shouldn't have bought Knitters Pride DPN set which was also costly for the price (they're so flimsy...). These on the other hand, really nice, smooth, and yarn glides like butter!! So much easier to knit, and it was like a night and day. My hands no longer hurt with these! Shipping was though a bit costly as I selected faster shipping option (I was in hurry to make mittens and hats, and I really needed these), but they shipped all of them quickly (I bought many sizes and a sock set also) and they all arrived safely without damage. I love these. Best DPNs in stainless steel on the market. They're not as light as wood but not heavy either as inside is follow, unlike those aluminum ones you may see on Wal-mart etc. Thee are the best stainless on the market! And I used so many of them! Highly recommend.

While some folks prefer to use thicker yarn and larger needles for their knitting, I've always been the sort of guy who likes the finer things-- pun intended-- and prefers to use fingering weight and sock yarns in his projects, from shawls to gloves to scarves. Topped off with a point protector, needles like this are perfect for small projects that don't require unwieldy, extra-long needles for a scarf that'll be four or five inches thick, in the case of the one I made for my young niece this winter.I've always been partial to metal needles, and ChiaoGoo's offerings are by far the best that I've experienced. The aluminum is lightweight and cool to the touch, the points just sharp enough to easily catch even the thinnest yarns. Yarn glides easily over the slick metal of these needles, which is for the most part a blessing... But be careful, because it can just as easily slide back off if you're not.All in all, I highly recommend these for any and all projects. I love them, and while they're not as essential to me as the Red Lace circular needles, also by ChiaoGoo, that I use religiously for larger projects, for small, thin projects, they can't be neat.

These needles are very smooth & allow yarn to slide easily. The points are great for fine knitting. The are a bit expensive.
